Hardy annual. Candytuft germinates quickly and is in bloom within two months. This plant has glossy green leaves and the familiar cluster of snow white flowers, often tinged with pink or purple. The foliage of Candytuft is evergreen, which makes the plant attractive throughout the year.
Member of the mustard family, thus the 4 petals per flower, and its use for centuries as a seasoning. A Colonial favorite, Candytuft was always included in the herb garden as a treatment for rheumatism.
